  • New Doctoral Program in our Department: The New Jersey Commission on Higher Education unanimously approved Montclair State University to offer its fourth doctoral program, an Ed.D. in Mathematics Pedagogy, housed in CSAM's Department of Mathematical Sciences.

  • National Science Foundation GK-12 Fellowship available for CSAM graduate students.

The fellowship awards $40,500 to qualified research-minded graduate students to work in middle schools for two days each week. As part of the program, graduate students participate in training activities, research projects, and field trips (just to name a few components) while they pursue a master's program at Montclair State University.

We would like to ask your help in identifying students who might be interested in applying to the program (as they concurrently apply to the graduate program at MSU). Ideal candidates are those who have just begun graduate studies in a master's program in CSAM or graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a master's degree. Please share this information with your strongest students.

Information about the grant can be found on the website www.csam.montclair.edu/gk12. The application deadline is March 23, 2007.
