- Job opening: Applied Mathematics
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Applied Mathematics. Preference will be given to applicants whose research is focused in discrete applied mathematics, especially graph and/or game theory, but outstanding applicants with interests in any area of applied mathematics will be considered. Other areas of particular interest to the Department include financial mathematics, multiscale modeling, mathematical biology and computational mathematics. Starting date is September 1, 2010. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.

- Job openings: Mathematics Education
Applications are invited for two tenure-track positions in Mathematics Education. The department seeks candidates with research interests in the areas of: Elementary Mathematics Education, Middle Grades Mathematics Education, the teaching and learning of mathematics, the role of technology in mathematics education, the impact of professional development on the achievement of students, and interdisciplinary approaches to mathematics education. Starting date is September 1, 2010. Candidates are required to have a doctorate in Mathematics Education and a background in mathematics at the master's level or Mathematics with significant work experience in mathematics education.

- Job opening: Physics
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Physics. We seek an experimental physicist or biophysicist active in fields such as transport processes in biological systems, bio-materials, or imaging (such as AFM, STM, confocal or fluorescence microscopy). We are particularly interested in a colleague who could interact with applied/computational mathematicians with research interests in modeling chemical, biochemical, molecular biological, or biological and physical processes and structures. Candidates are required to have a PhD in Physics. Starting date is September 1, 2010.
